KBS Constructors, Inc. was selected to provide preconstruction and construction services for the Meadowlark Hills expansion and renovation project. Working together, the team of owner, architect, and builder formulated a process where design could be refined to fit the needs of the residents and priced long before the first shovel was turned on site. The result was a project, which met the needs of the client while still fitting into a tight budget. The completed project has been well received. This project team set a lofty goal of providing a high quality of living environment for the area’s elderly and achieved that goal. To borrow a phrase from Steve Shields, the team’s task was to provide a place for seniors to live with dignity and fulfillment, not just a place for them to go while waiting to die.
Providing high quality home care for the elderly, that’s pretty critical.
Children's Mercy Clinics
KBS was chosen in a select bid process to be the general contractor for the build-out of a 15,000 SF Ophthalmology Clinic on the 5th floor of the Children’s Mercy Clinic’s on Broadway. The facility is located at 3101 Broadway in Kansas City, MO. Construction took place during normal business and patient hours.
Special care must be taken to safeguard work areas in a fully occupied clinical facility during construction, especially when the primary patients in that building are children. KBS employees routinely execute flawlessly on such projects without incident. It is the kind of performance record that makes us clear Leaders in Critical Environment ConstructionTM.
Morris County Hospital
We recently completed our third design/build addition to the Morris County Hospital. The first two building additions included a physical therapy space, new space for central supply, a Doctor’s clinic space, all connected to the existing hospital.
For the past 8 years KBS Constructors has partnered with Morris County to complete three different additions to their facility. They know the value of a contractor who can help them reach their goals and make the most efficient use of a limited budget. All of these projects were collaborative with the two most recent being done using the design-build process.
